After 10 years of pleasant ownership, I finally decided to put my trusty 500cc AJS 18S for sale. I just don’t ride it enough and have plenty of other bikes to keep going.
This beautiful AJS is the first model to be fitted with jam pot rear shocks. It is a really comfortable, reliable, low-grunt thumper which makes me smile every time I take her for a spin. She was restored about 20 years ago in Germany, and the quality of the restoration still shows. Really neat looking single!
She is regularly serviced and has benefitted from a new Amal carburettor. The speedo is in kms, which is pretty rare. Everything works as it should: she starts, stops and goes really well!
